We’re down to the last quarter of the year—school is back in full swing, fall is in the air, and October is the National Kitchen and Bath Month! Started by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) in 1982, the Kitchen and Bath Month celebrates the most popular season for remodeling. As people start to gear up for the holidays, there’s no better time to be reminded that the kitchen and bath are great investments for the future.
As a proud member of the NKBA, we would like to share some tips and showcase kitchen and bathroom remodels for ideas and inspiration.
Villa Park Kitchen Remodel
In this remodel, our client wanted an open Kitchen and Dining space with plenty of space to move and gather around, prepare meals, and enjoy the heart of their home. There was just one major problem—a single load-bearing post. The post was surrounded by cabinets and provided a very open pass-through to the kitchen from the small breakfast nook, but it all took up lots of room and made the space feel cramped and disconnected.
We removed the load-bearing post, added new elements to ensure that the structure was adequately supported, opened up the kitchen to accommodate a larger island, larger workstation and even a buffet area. The result was a family space filled with natural light and love for years to come.
North Tustin Bathroom Remodel
With the right contractor and materials you can give any space a fresh, new look without completely erasing the original vision and craftsmanship. This is exactly what happened in the remodeling of three bathrooms built in the 60s.
Outdated and worn out fixtures, cabinetry, flooring and more in the home’s bathrooms were beginning to cause some serious problems, and it was time for more than just a cosmetic facelift. Our team completed all three remodels transforming small, cramped spaces into beautiful and functional bathrooms with a spa look and feel. Our client now enjoys their heirloom home even more and look forward to many years to come there.
