When the homeowners Alex and Christine came to Burgin Design • Remodel, they made one of their main remodeling goals clear: to create real connections between the indoors and outdoors.
To solve that, our team let the interior blend with the outdoor space with the use of a bi-fold door system in the rear area of the home.
We expanded the opening to 16′ wide using a steel I-Beam, 2 posts with 2 pad footings, and then installed an AG Millworks Bi-fold Door.
The homeowners enjoy a full view of the backyard without having to worry about glare or bugs—Thanks to AG Millworks’ retractable accordion screen feature!
With natural light coming in from the windows and beautiful light fixtures hanging from the ceilings, it’s hard to imagine that the common areas like the stairway used to be dark, gloomy and cramped.
The new living area is bright with rows of windows and doors, plenty of lights, and an airy atmosphere.
