Atlas Homewares was launched in 1994 by Adrienne Morea. She is a notable designer, a guest on HGTV’s House Hunters, as well as a go-to consultant to a host of celebrity designers including Candice Olson. Adrienne Morea is also the recipient of the coveted Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, and a Stevie Award.
As CEO and Creative Director of Atlas Homewares, Adrienne Morea knew well how to connect with consumers seeking to add style to their homes. She was first inspired to design hardware when looking to dress up her own very first apartment. Humble though it was, she knew she could create some spectacular pieces to transform her décor from bland to bling. As a result, she incorporated what she had learned from her jewelry design business to create a new company she named “Atlas Homewares”, which featured, as she states, “jewelry for the home”.
Like fashion, Atlas Homewares styles are ever-changing and ever-evolving. Each collection pays homage to a specific design motif, whether it be minimalist, classic, retro or futuristic. Atlas offers something for everyone from transitional to contemporary to eclectic.
Atlas Homewares inspires homeowners daily and many of the collections do not only complete the look, but lead the design of the entire project. As recently quoted on the popular design blog “House Proud”,
“We have to give a shout out to our friends at Atlas Homewares for their extensive collection of sophisticated pulls, knobs, house numbers and doorbells. The U-Turn Collection of knobs and pulls was so appealing to us that it drove a lot of inspiration throughout our entire home. We are putting these U-Turn pulls on the bath vanities, on all of the kitchen cabinets and drawers, and even on the linen closet doors. When you take a look at our master bath, you can see how a knob can inspire an entire bathroom.”
The path of Atlas Homewares has always been congruent with Adrienne’s inner artist…colors, textures and composition are always on her palette. The company’s impassioned designs are a collective expression of Adrienne’s love for architecture and her intuitive style. Inspiration can come from the texture of leather, a bauble, a piece of coral – elements that many would overlook, yet Adrienne manages to envision them as the detail that will make the difference.
This path continues today under new management, Top Knobs Enterprises, Atlas Homewares now offers not only exceptional design, but also top of the line service, quality and delivery. Adrienne Morea continues to consult with Atlas Homewares and is leading the design of collections into 2017 and beyond.
