This 1960s house used to be an underrated single-family home with a kitchen full of potential.

The homeowners, the Stack family, came to the Burgin Design • Remodel team asking for help with their constricted kitchen. The home was built in 1967 and had seen many years of use with growing family and friends.

The coast inspired the Stack family’s dream kitchen, so we brought the nautical feel to the space with mixed blues, neutral tones and wooden flooring. We used blue paint on the kitchen island, and the homeowners loved the deep hues so much!

We also removed some seating to open up the space more and improve the overall flow around the kitchen island. With this, the kitchen became perfect for cooking and general family use.
